Our Mission

Mapping the Blueprint of Gene Regulation

We are building an open, comprehensive platform that decodes how genes are regulated in human cancers — empowering researchers worldwide to accelerate precision medicine.

Our Vision

Cancer remains one of the greatest challenges in medicine. Understanding how genes are regulated — turned on, turned off, amplified, or silenced — is fundamental to developing next-generation therapies.

The Blueprint of Gene Regulation (BGR) envisions a future where every researcher, regardless of their computational expertise, has access to powerful, standardized tools for exploring gene regulatory networks. By centralizing multi-omics data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Genomic Data Commons (GDC), we eliminate data silos and enable discoveries that span cancer types, tissue origins, and molecular pathways.

Our platform is not just a data portal — it is a complete analytical environment where hypotheses can be formulated, tested, and validated using publication-quality visualizations and reproducible pipelines.

"To provide a foundation for precision medicine by revealing the gene regulatory networks underlying human cancers through integrated multi-omics analysis."

Core Pillars

Six guiding principles drive everything we build

Decode Gene Regulation

Employ gene silencing and overexpression techniques to systematically map gene regulatory networks across 33 cancer types from TCGA/GDC data.

Multi-Omics Integration

Combine transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and single-cell analyses into unified regulatory models that capture biological complexity.

Advance Precision Medicine

Translate regulatory insights into actionable biomarkers and therapeutic targets, bridging the gap from bench discovery to clinical application.

Champion Open Science

Provide open-access datasets, reproducible analysis pipelines, and documented APIs — ensuring every researcher can build upon our work.

Foster Collaboration

Create a global platform where biologists, clinicians, and computational scientists converge to accelerate breakthrough discoveries.

Democratize Access

Deliver powerful analytical tools through an intuitive interface so that researchers of all computational backgrounds can participate in genomics.
